Mark Lackey, chief investment strategist with Pope & Company, sees particular promise among small-cap gold equities in West Africa. Burkina Faso and Mali offer good topography and stable, democratically elected governments with little interest in economic nationalism. Given Lackey’s view that gold will float between $1,600 and $1,800/ounce this year, he says in this exclusive Gold Report interview that now might be a good time for investors to look to Africa for upside potential.
Write a journal entry talking about what you did today. Did you have breakfast? What was it? Was it good? What is your favorite breakfast of all time? What was the worst? Was there a breakfast story you’ve told over and over again? Write about the things involved in that and other breakfasts you’ve had. BAM! You’re writing.
Your first and foremost goal is to provide your list with information that they find valuable. Remember the email is about what they’re interested in – that could be anything (WeeklyReviewer, your views, articles). Provide your list with targeted information about what you do, what are new changes that are in your field, a case study, a new idea — just make sure you tie it back to what they’re interested in.
During Christian period, they started to write in clothes with wood inks. They also used as a letter, telegram and communication device. Then 1000 years back paper was discovered by Romanian. Slowly, they discovered artificial inks also. 500 years back printing technology was discovered and most of the magazines are started to circulate their issues. Douglas MacArthur, when asked the very same question, responded, “By profession I am a soldier and take pride in that fact. But I am prouder — infinitely prouder — to be a father. A soldier destroys in order to build; the father only builds, never destroys. The one has the potentiality of death; the other embodies creation and life. And while the hordes of death are mighty, the battalions of life are mightier still. It is my hope that my son, when I am gone, will remember me not from the battle field but in the home repeating with him our simple daily prayer, ‘Our Father Who Art in Heaven.'” When I read that quote to Nick Orzio, he said he wasn’t aware of it. But the smile on his face said that he was proud that he and his hero thought alike.

Dig up names from internships or summer jobs and reach out to those people. Join online networking groups (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).
Even though I’m pushing 60, I know I could still start and prosper as a pro athlete, but I’m not taking the bait. If any NFL team or the PGA were to call, I would have to immediately decline any and all offers. Sure, I’d be grateful and gracious about it, but I can’t risk having my name attached to lurid scandals. It’s just not who I am. Why, you look around at the news these days, and it’s like it’s becoming a rite of passage for the top-shelf pro athlete. The bigger your contract and acclaim, the better your chances become to be sucked into the dark side.

It is a simple question. “Does fear control you, or do you control fear?” You can make the most of uncertainty and this economy. Whether you do or not is up to you.
